The history of the Eglise Gnostique can be quite complicated,
and much of what is presented elsewhere is not correct.
Ours is a community that traces its roots
from antiquity and the development of the ancient Church,
through many ages. Of particular note are the early gnostic
movements within the first three centuries C.E., the medieval
12th and 13th centuries, and most recently the Gnostic and
Theosophic revivals of late 19th century European extraction.
Consequently, we have divided the history
of our Church into four sections, for easier (relatively)
digestion of such a long transmission. The links at the
bottom of this pate or via the menus at the left will guide
you along the way.
